A sweet and fruity cup as we head towards sunnier days! This is a remarkable coffee with a story as rich as its flavor. Sourced from the Women Coffee Extension (WCE) at the Mbizi Coffee Washing Station, this special lot embodies the dedication and empowerment of over 700 female coffee producers. Founded in 2017 by Aline Christine and Odette Uwamariya, WCE has become a beacon of progress, offering not only exceptional coffee but also essential services to its members. Through initiatives like family planning, nutrition programs, and agricultural education, WCE has transformed lives, doubling coffee production per tree and tripling the output of the washing station. As they strive for Rain Forest certification and pursue ambitious goals for community development, every sip of Rwanda Women Coffee Extension supports a brighter future for Rwandan coffee producers.
Crafted through the natural or "dry" process, Rwanda Women Coffee Extension reveals flavors that reflect the lush landscapes of Rwanda. Notes of berry jam, cherry, and grape shine, a testament to the meticulous care taken from seed to cup. This processing method, which involves drying the coffee cherries whole, allows the fruit's natural sugars to infuse the beans, resulting in a cup that's both vibrant and complex. With each purchase of Rwanda Women Coffee Extension, you not only indulge in exquisite taste but also contribute to the advancement of women in coffee production and the flourishing community initiatives of the WCE. We hope you enjoy!
