Bright, juicy, and electric—our latest single-origin release is a wild ride of fruit-forward flavors. Colombia Finca La Loma brings you crisp raspberry, tart green apple, and a candy-like watermelon sweetness, all thanks to the Guerra family’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of coffee processing.
Located in the rolling green hills of southwest Antioquia, Finca La Loma is part of a legacy of coffee farming that spans five generations. The Guerra family has spent decades refining their craft, blending traditional farming wisdom with innovative techniques to produce exceptional specialty coffee. Their commitment to quality and sustainability shines through in every harvest. With 140,000 meticulously cared-for coffee trees, they prioritize both productivity and environmental responsibility, using wildlife-friendly agricultural practices to maintain the health of their land.
This lot undergoes Carbonic Maceration, a cutting-edge fermentation technique that intensifies its fruit-forward profile. After handpicking, cherries are sealed in steel barrels filled with carbon dioxide, triggering a controlled breakdown of the fruit. This process enhances the coffee’s vibrant acidity and juicy complexity before the beans are slowly dried on raised beds. The result? A cup bursting with crisp fruit notes and a silky sweetness.
Finca La Loma continues to push the envelope with experimental processing, and if this lot is any indication, their best coffees are still to come.
