Peru Apsos Ecologicos

This washed process coffee is our newest addition to our dark roast lineup, it is full of body and low in acidity, sure to please any dark roast aficionado. APSOS Ecológicos Perú was founded in 2011 in the province of La Merced by small coffee and cocoa producers. It consists of small producers located in the provinces of Chanchamayo, Satipo and  Oxapampa of the Junín and Pasco regions which is located in central part of the country. The varietals predominately grown in this part of Peru are Typica, Caturra, and Catimor. Coffee from this region is typically associated with a creamy body and rich chocolate and caramel notes, making it perfect candidate for dark roast as it has a lot of sugars that allow us to push the caramelization while still retaining a pleasant sweetness that you keep coming back for sip after sip.
