With tasting notes of dark chocolate, almond, and tangerine, it’s a sweet, approachable cup perfect for any time of day.
The Story Behind the Coffee
This washed-process coffee comes to us from Florinda Cifuentes, a 52-year-old coffee producer from Buesaco, Nariño. Her 2-hectare farm, El Horizonte, sits at approximately 2000 meters above sea level and is a reflection of both tradition and thoughtful innovation. Alongside her husband and two children, Florinda handles every step of the process with care—from hand-picking each ripe cherry to sun-drying the beans on raised beds after a 24-hour fermentation.
Buesaco is one of the most celebrated regions in Colombia for specialty coffee, known for its high elevations and nutrient-rich volcanic soil. These conditions, paired with Florinda’s precision and dedication, result in a beautifully clean and sweet coffee with layered complexity and an ultra-smooth finish.
Rooted in Tradition, Focused on the Future
For Florinda, coffee isn’t just a livelihood—it’s a legacy. Her work is guided by values cc sustainability and long-term impact. By blending time-honored practices with a commitment to environmental stewardship, she hopes to leave behind not only a thriving farm but a thriving future for her children.
This coffee is a tribute to that vision. Brew it as a morning cup, an afternoon treat, or your go-to daily drink—it’s damn fine any way you enjoy it.
